This Blogs Purpose

Hey guys,

This blog really isn’t “about me”……it’s actually about my journey. It’s a journey that is universal and relatable to many different people from many different walks of life.

See this blog is for any and everyone who has ever felt trapped. It’s for those people who have all these hopes and dreams locked up in their hearts, but have never been able to accomplish them because of the overwhelming fear of failure and unworthiness. It’s for those people who long to belong, but never do. For those who desperately seek to find a place where they fit…but always find that they don’t. It’s for the vagrants, the wanderers, the drifters, the chameleons, the people pleasers, the heartbroken, the mean, the sad, the depressed, the outsiders. It’s for you.

My name is Krystal…and I am ALL of the above things. I grew up looking for a place where I belong and still am searching for that place. I’m still a people pleaser, still locked up and bound into whatever person I think best fits the situation. But I refuse to let 2012 pass with me still being the same insecure, fearful person…and this blog is going to chronicle my journey of finding and living in that freedom.

I hope to be able to look back at the end of the year as a new person. A stronger person. A more real person. And a free person. Please, join me for m journey, and I hope it blesses you.

    1. Hello Nikolai,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It really is encouraging to get positive feedback about a blog. It can be kind of daunting sometimes sharing personal process with the world BUT writing helps me walk process better so here it is! I will check out your facebook page in just a moment.

  5. Much love, blessings, and peace to you sister. I found myself in the list of people for whom this blog was created, and like you, I am on my journey to freedom. It’s not easy being a “people-pleaser” (I am one as well), because we sacrifice the very essence of who we are, just so that others feel secure in the control they demand over us – we enable them, and we have to stop! Finding who “YOU” really are will liberate you, just as I am being liberated. You are not alone, and I am sending out all the love energy I can in your direction, so that you will realize the freedom, and peace you were created for.

    1. Aww thank you so much! Reading your words truly encouraged me and I’m thankful for a platform like wordpress that allows us all to share our stories and the way we’ve overcome them. Thank you for your kind words and I pray that we continue to find and experience the freedom we were created to have 🙂

You echo so many things floating around in my own head. Especially…honesty…as in true to yourself. Blog writing seems to be a wonderful outlet for honesty and all the thoughts that need a place to be that isn’t on repeat in my ear. And fighting my fears seems to be an ongoing goal for me as well. I wish you success in the pursuit of you and all that makes you happy! Thanks for visiting Hot Mama Hikers too.

    1. Hey! Thanks for stopping by! I love hearing others share that they feel the same. Makes me feel that I’m not alone and it’s good to know others are going through the same type of process 🙂 Conquering our fears is a very tangible goal and I look forward to us both reaching it! 🙂
